March 2004     Editor - Paul Carey

Development:
The 20B three rotor block was assembled after eccentric shaft repairs by John Otter from Otter Engines. All other blower plates, intake plenums etc were remachined true by Skyworx Aviation. Stevo and his aviation staff at Jandakot Airport do great work, and are drag racer friendly with three staff owning drag machines.

I designed and manufactured an eccentric shaft front pulley support brace, in the aerospace fashion. The typical V8 crank support could not be easily fitted due to accessories in the way, and the crank so far out from the main block. A 4130 chrome moly ring and three legged brace works well.

The engine was fitted to the car, and started first pop. Great to hear the blown three rotor again - it's very intoxicating and addictive to hear live. Expect us to recommence licensing runs this meeting 20th March 2004 at the Quit Motorplex.

Sport Compact 2004
We displayed the blown3rotor at the Motorplex Sport Compact day last weekend, and had plenty of interest. We took out the "Overall Most Modified" trophy, which was the car's first win. Photos of the day below - click on any to view a larger version.
